It was Christmas, day of love and friendship. Day in which you show how much you love your fellow people. All of tokyo felt alive and happy to celibrate this glorious day.

All except one.

Like many chritsmas stories there was one person who hated the whole christmas season. His name was Darien. A rich and handsome college student.

But to balance out his despize of christmas, there was one who loved christmas the most. Her name was Serena. She was a younge, bouncy, blonde who felt devoted to cheer anyone and everyone on christmas, well anyone EXCEPT Darien.

Darien and Serena knew each other very well. Too well, if you ask them. They hated eachothers guts, and didn't care to hide it. Everyday was like clock work. Serena would be late for school and run right into Darien, they fight, she gets detention for tardy, after detention they bump into eachother again, she blames him for tardy. Fight after fight they would annoy strangers even.

And this Christmas was no different. Serena woke to a room full of christmas presents and spent a day full of fun and loving memories with friends and family.

Darien woke to and empty apartment. Memories fill his heart with remorse. Wishing he could just see his parents one more time. This was his thirteenth anniversary of his parents death. He would get dress and read the newspaper trying to forget the whole christmas season. But it still caught up to him. So he decided to find Andrew and ask him for help to rid the memories and pain.

He entered the arcade and regretted it. Serena was at the counter dressed in nothing but red and green, from her hair pins to her socks. He was turning to leave when Andrew spotted him.

"Darien, come on in!" Darien swallowed and walked on over next to Serena trying his hardest not to breakdown as she talked of her times with her parents.

"So what did your parents get you for christmas?" Serena asked Darien. He swallowed hard.

"Nothing." He answered. She looked at him with remorse.

"Oh, I'm soo sorry for bring it up." She said sorrowfully.

"It was just like you too bring up presents and money. Your soo artifical and shallow, what else can you expect from a person like you!" He snapped. Andrew even looked at Darien with curiousity. Serena blinked tears away. Darien huffed angrily and stood and left in a swift movement. Andrew consoled the teenage girl.

Darien closed the door to his apartment and slumped into his armchair, and finally let it all go. He cried and sobbed. Over his parents, lack of friends and love. He had no one.

The doorbell rang. He ignored it.

It rang again. He sniffed and quickly wipped his eyes when the third rang came. He opened the door and stood in shock.

Serena stood before his very eyes. She looked up to him with big sorry eyes and held out a small box. He looked at the box for awhile in curiosity.

"Merry Christmas. I got you a present, well we all pitched in but I came up with the it." She said with a weak smile. He took the present and nodded to her as he closed the door in her face. He pulled the ribbon on the box and opened the box. Inside was a metal heart, he opened it and inside was one mirror and on the other side was a subscribe and it read:

"You are loved"

He cried and quickly opened the door and to his surprize, Serena still stood their, he stopped crying and smalled wide.

"This means more than you know." He whispered hoarsely. She smilled knowingly. He fumbled with his doorknob. She chuckled and launched herself into his arms in a hug. He hugged back with all he could.

They cared for him.

She loved him.
