Author's note: I was looking through my notebook, and I found a poem I had written some time ago. I typed it up, and…viola! It was a subject I felt like I needed to write on. Like it was calling me. So I did, and now I'm bringing to you…Rachel's Poem.

Rachel's Poem
A tribute to Codename: Kids Next Door

Where was he?
That boy, that irresponsible, crazy boy
The great and fearless leader of Sector V

No one would tell her.
They said it was too dangerous.
Why was it so dangerous?

He would never come back.
Numbuh Five said so herself.
He was gone, forever

He was her friend.
Her only real one, she thinks.
Besides Fanny, of course.

She missed him.
Maybe she wouldn't admit it
But she did.

She never got to say goodbye.
He was her best friend
and she wasn't even there at his last meeting

His friends got to say goodbye.
It wasn't fair.
Why wasn't she there?

She would have to let go.
But how?
She didn't know how.

She never wanted to let go.
It would hurt too much.
He was her best friend, after all

She couldn't let go.
It was hard.
He was always there before, she needed him.

But she had to.

She couldn't.

But she did it.

She let go.
