Hinata

Naruto... Hinata thought. She hadn't seen him in at least a month, and missed him a lot. She wondered everyday, almost every second of twenty-four hours, when she would see him again.

Naruto and the Group

"Hey, Naruto?" Sakura said.

"Huh?"

"Have you ever wondered... what Hinata thought of you?" Sakura had figured that out months ago, and thought that now would be a good time to bring it up.

"What do you mean?" Naruto was totally clueless.

"Well... you know how you kind of like me?" She asked hesitantly.

"Yeah, so?" A small blush appeared on his face, as one did on Sakura's, but they quickly disappeared.

"What do you think Hinata thinks or feels about you?" She repeated.

"I don't know. She's a really good friend." He said simply.

Sakura gave an exasperated sigh. This is going to be hard to explain to Naruto. "Naruto...Hinata sort of...well...she likes you."

Naruto's jaw dropped, even though he was trying to hide the fact that he was shocked.

Of course he didn't know, Sakura thought obviously.

"What do you mean, 'She likes me'?"

"Haven't you noticed that every time you talk or get close to her, her face gets red?" Sakura pointed out.

"Yeah, but that happens around everyone, right?"

"Have you noticed that she is always really shy around you?"

"She's always shy. Where did you get this idea, anyway?" Naruto answered.

"I know these things, Naruto. And she isn't just always shy; she's even more shy around you than anyone else." She paused to think of an example. "Remember when we took the Chuunin Exams?"

"Yeah. She got the seat next to me. So what?"

"Didn't she tell you that you could cheat off of her, risking being caught herself?"

"Well, yeah, but wouldn't you do that for Sasuke? I mean, you two are friends, right?"

Unfortunately... "Yeah, but... Naruto!" She didn't know what to say to this dumb guy.

"What?! You're making no sense!"

"Never mind, Naruto..." Sakura said, shaking her head.

Hinata

Naruto...when will you know? When will I tell you? Will you feel the same way? Will my heart be broken?
