I'll Make You Forget
Brother/Buddy
Rated R
By: Te-Chan
It had been almost a full year since Vegnagun was destroyed to nothing and the true "Eternal Calm" had really begun. Yuna decided to leave the Gullwings so she could be with him on Besaid Island. She told him about everything.
How she ran away from Besaid because she saw him in sphere, how she changed, and the adventures she had.
Rikku and Shinra left also. They went to D'Jose temple to join the Machine Faction, with Gippal. Gippal got a long with Shinra well, after finding out it was he who invented the ComSpheres, he asked him to join them in their research in uncovering old machina. Shinra couldn't refuse. And, neither could Rikku after figuring out she had the perfect excuse just to hang around D'Jose temple to near Gippal. Still crushing over his good looks and unmistakable "charm", she couldn't keep herself away. Yet, she hasn't told him how she felt.
Eventually, Paine left too. She had gone to Bevelle to help Baralai out, who was still the Praetor of New Yevon. The Youth League was still around.
Surprisingly, the two groups didn't clash. Instead, they worked together, uniting Spira as much as they could
The only two members of the Sphere hunting group who didn't leave were Brother and Buddy.
Buddy had absolutely nowhere to go and he was very much attached to "sky life" and not to mention the ship itself.
Brother never considered leaving. After seeing how happy Yuna was when she was and him were together. It got him angry that he couldn't be with Yuna.
Every time he thought about it, he would start raving, mostly in Al Bhed, to Buddy how it wasn't fair. Sometimes Buddy wish Brother would give it alone and get it through his mohawked-head that Yuna did not like him in THAT way. Besides, they were related. And, Cid made it clearly that no such relationship would be established as long as he was around. Ironically, this made Brother even angrier. So angry that he would just lay around the airship, not talking or eating. If he did talk, he would throw a fit. This drive Buddy up the wall.

It was a quiet afternoon. The sky was clear, cloudless, and blue as ever.
Buddy was sitting at the bar in the residential area, eating lunch. Some Hypello dish Barkeep cooked. It looked a bit strange, but it was good. Buddy really couldn't complain. It was better than eating the burn, inedible tidbits Brother called food.
As he ate, Barkeep looked up and spoke. "Where iz Brother? Have you seen him, no?"
Buddy just shook his head. "Haven't seen him all day." He answered.
Barkeep nodded and walked over to far end of the bar, washing a few glasses out. Buddy sighed. "If I were Brother, where the hell would I be on this ship¼ ?" He thought. He nibbled on the toothy ends of the fork, still thinking.
Then, it hit him.
"The deck¼ " He murmured.
He got up and abandoned his lunch and leaving Barkeep in a state of confusion.
