Disclaimer - I don't own Harry Potter, and yes that hurt to write.
"Ale: Are you manipulating me again?
T.C.: Try not to fall for it. I dare you."
―Steve Kluger - My Most Excellent Year
"What are those idiots up to now?" Looking up from her book at her best friend's question, sixteen year old Lily Evans, watched as the bane of her existence and his best friends, moved around the Gryffindor common room stopping to talk to someone for a moment then moving on.
"Whatever it is, it seems to only include the older students." Her other friend Mary commented. She was right, Lily observed, they did seem to only be talking to the older students.
"Hello Ladies." Sirius Black called, moving up to where Lily and her friends sat.
"What do you want Black?" Emmeline Vance, Lily's best friend, asked.
"Glad you asked Vance, see the boys and I are setting up a game of truth and dare, how would you ladies like to join?" Sirius grinned, in what Lily and her friends had dubbed his 'knicker dropper smile', since that's what effect his smile seem to have on the female students in Hogwarts, except for Lily and her friends.
"No thanks Black we're not interested." The last of Lily's friendship group, Marlene Mckinnon, commented. Just as Sirius opened his mouth to reply, a voice interrupted.
"Hey Evans." James Potter, the very bane of Lily's existence, approached them, running his hand through his hair.
"Potter." Lily acknowledged.
"Did Sirius tell you about the game we're setting up?" Though Lily was with her friends, she was the only one he addressed, somewhere between the middle of first year, James Potter had gotten the foolish notion in his head that he was in love with her.
"Yeah and Marlene was just explaining that we're not interested." Lily said, wishing the boys would both just disappear so that she could get back to her book.
"Why? Are you chicken Evans?" Potter asked, still smiling, though his eyes narrowed in challenge. Lily narrowed her own, Lily Evans was no chicken, and she never backed down from a challenge, which is why she was currently the top student in her class, but then Potter knew that too. Slimy little toe rag, she thought to herself, if Potter wanted her to play, she would play. She smirked at him, causing his smile to drop and his eyes to become nervous, James Potter may have thought he was great because he was Quidditch captain, a notorious prankster and had that ridiculous hair, but he was about to learn what happened when you accused Lily Marie Evans of being a chicken.
"Let's play a game, Girls." She said, putting her book down and rising from her seat.
"Great." Potter smiled, obviously thinking he had won. "We're meeting over there." He said, indicating a corner of the common room.
"Are you sure about this Lily?" Mary asked as the girls headed towards students already forming a circle.
"Don't even bother Mare, Potter challenged her, she's gone to us now till she proves Potter wrong." Emmeline laughed.
"Ok so I'll start." Potter said when everyone who was playing, about fifteen people consisting of fifth, sixth and seventh years were seated.
"Evans, I dare you..."

Please let me know if you think I should keep going and if you have any suggestions on dares they could do. I already have a few ideas but I'd love to hear more :)
