This is my take on the bathroom scene in The Half-Blood Prince. I wrote this like a year or two ago. So if the writing sucks, I'm sorry.
Based off the song You're Not Alone by Big Time Rush
Declaimer - I do not own Harry Potter. If I did almost everyone would be gay. All rights go to JK Rowling.
He just couldn't do it. Simple as that. They all expected him to do it. His father, mother, their "lord". He was chosen for this, but simply could not do it. He looked in the mirror and did not see his facade that he spent his whole life perfecting. Instead he saw the real Draco Malfoy.
Hair sticking every which way, clothes wrinkled, and eyes red and with dried tears. This is who he is. No one knows the real him. The kind, sweet boy that would do anything in his power to keep the ones he loves safe. The one that does not want to go down a dark path. The one that's really smart, funny, and loves to smile. And most of all, no one knows the real Draco Malfoy that is in love with Harry Potter.
He bends down gathering water in his hands; splashing some on his face. He grips the sink with white knuckles, taking in deep breaths.
"No one knows the real me," he whispers.
He's angry with himself because he thinks it's his fault. With all the hurt, anger, sadness, and pain he kept in for so long, he smashes his fist into the mirror. Draco doesn't feel the pain it caused. He stopped feeling pain long ago. As he looks at the blood that's flowing down his hand, he can't help but to think that this is like is life; blood running down a hand. If you twist it one way, it follows. The other way, it follows again. He will be forced to follow that mad man of a wizard. He just wants a way out. To be rescued.
He looks into the shattered mirror and sees the last person he wanted to see him in the state he's in. He turns, looking over his shoulder to see if he was imaging things. Emerald green eyes meets cold and empty silver. The green softens just seeing the pain and haunting in the eyes of the one he loves. They continues to stare until the owner of the green eyes finally speaks in a soft, soothing whisper; as to not upset the blonde,
" You're not alone, Draco. Not anymore."
