What if she died?

Maybe it wouldn't be today or tomorrow. Maybe not for years. She's young, only seventeen, a teenager trapped for so long. She would be free, so she thinks.

Elijah can't stand it. He can't stand the very idea of losing his sister. There was no one who understood him better. He understood her just as equally. It wasn't that he didn't see her reasoning, didn't get it— he did. He simply didn't like it.

For a thousand years, for too long, they've been each other's mirrors of themselves. Both swore always and forever, both swore to Niklaus.

It was so very her. The romance of it all, the idea of becoming human and falling in love. That was very much Bekah. Her heart was huge, yet weak. It would turn even more frail as a human. Her heart would break, as it does, and who would be there to hold her then? Who would comfort her? Who would run his fingers gingerly through her hair, murmuring reassurances, confirming that she is loved like he does?

No one would.

She could not become human. She could not leave them. She could not leave him.

He slips the cure in his pocket and tells her they'll talk about it later.
