From An Onlooker

From an onlooker we don't look like much

In fact we don't look like anything at all.

But that will change, and we will be remembered,

Because the barricade won't fall.

From an Onlooker we will look brave and sober,

We won't look scared at what we have made.

But we all know, deep in our hearts,

That the adrenalin will fade.

From an onlooker, it will look hopeless,

When I send the women and children away,

But for us, it is just a sense of peace,

We are closer to a greater day.

From an onlooker, when I wave the flag,

I will look mad, and insane,

But when the bullets hit,

I know I'll be back again.

A/N: This is my first attempt at poetry... Yes it is pretty fail, but it was supposed to be from Enjolras point of view about the barricades, and maybe he believes in reincarnation, I honestly don't know, so we'll say he did.
