So, I'm not much a Bieber fan myself, don't get me wrong, I don't hate him, I'm just not as into his music as others, anyways, a friend played me his song 'Pray' the other day, and I found it really inspirational, so I wrote a story based on it. Be sure to listen to the song, either before, after or whilst reading please, like I say it really is an inspirational song. So yeah, please read and review, and be sure to check out my other stories, big time reunion, and big time frenzied fan. On with the story…
Pray
Logan pov:
I turned over in my bed trying with all my might to go to sleep, but I knew that would not be possible. Not after the news we had all heard that afternoon. A massive earthquake had hit a place called Haiti around a week ago; thousands of people had been left homeless, orphaned, or injured. I personally found it appalling that the news had just reached us, but it was only a small place I suppose, news can only get round so fast.
There was no way at all I was going to get any sleep tonight, so I sat up in my bed, to see Kendall was also sat up, back resting against the wall, probably not sleeping for the same reasons as me. I just knew that James and Carlos would be exactly the same, even if I couldn't see them.
Slowly I lifted my legs off of my bed, and made my way through the darkness over to Kendall's bed. Silently sitting down, Kendall acknowledged me, but did not speak. About an hour went by, with Kendall and I sitting in a fairly comfortable silence, praying for the people in Haiti, and everywhere else where people had to deal with so much tradegy.
Kendall spoke very softly, "How is this fair? How come we have such an easy life? We get to become a boy band, we have each other, we live in an amazing place, we're in LA for goodness sake! So how is it possible for us to have all this and others to have nothing? When I think of the poor people in Haiti, all the wars going on right now. Children are crying, soldiers are dying some people don't have a home!"
"It's not fair Kendall, Its not" I replied
Again, the room fell into silence, but I knew that both Kendall and I were thinking about the same thing. There has to be some good left out there, the thing we need to work out was how we could make a change.
The next morning
I stepped into the kitchen, taking in the appearance of Carlos and James. James' hair was messy, and he had dark ring under his eyes. Carlos wasn't much better, with a frown on his face and a helmet-less head.
"Here's your breakfast boys!" Mrs Knight cheerfully exclaimed, whilst setting the plates down on the table.
Each of us ate a couple of spoonfuls to please her, but really we had other things on our mind, rather then eating. I began to contemplate eating the rest, as I knew children were starving, and I could eat if I wanted to, and I was really wasting good food.
I spoke my thoughts to the guys, and in the end we came up with the conclusion to take our food to the homeless shelter. We placed our uneaten pancakes into a container, and gave them to Camille to deliver on her way to an audition.
I sat on the orange sofa, thinking. I got a sudden spark of energy in me to make a difference; all this suffering was driving me crazy!
For now though, until I knew how I could make a change, I figured I would pray for the people, so me and the others all sat together, and prayed for the broken hearted, for the life not started, for the ones not breathing, the souls in need. Together we closed our eyes and prayed…
So there you have it, it's only a one shot, so there will not be anymore chapters, but I would be very grateful if you could review! Thank you,
L
