The anxious eyes of Hermione Granger observed Severus Snape murmuring the dark spell over the middle-aged couple.
The lone, dark spectator watched the resulting happy reunion, and Miss Granger's bubbly explanation of botched memory charms, and how he was able to help them keep their wits.
Suddenly, Hermione turned pulling Severus into a fierce embrace. "Thank you! Thank you for helping my parents!"
A soft cough prompted her to look at glittering black eyes and the disdain of a raised eyebrow.
"I will not say I'm sorry," she quipped happily, trying to smooth the crinkles she made in his robes.
