Disclamer: before you ask: no I do not own it

Of Bows and Bridges

Chapter One

The 5th Hokage looked over her papers. "It looks like Team 7 is the only one available, Shizune."

"Do you think that's a good idea?" Shizune asked, reviewing the mission, "Don't you think it might be a bit disastrous to put Naruto on this mission?"

"They are all we can send out right now," Tsunade said, "hopefully Kakashi will be able to keep him in check. Bring them in."

Shizune disappeared, returning with Team 7 in tow.

"Alright, Grandma Tsunadae, what's our knew mission?" Naruto said pumping the air with his fists.

"You'll be escorting a famous cellist to her next destination on her tour. You will be helping her transport her possessions." Tsunadae said.

"What? We'll be carrying someone's stuff? But that's so boring!" Naruto said, "Why can't we go on a top secret mission!"

"Because you are a dobe," Sasuke said.

"I am so going to kick your butt, Teme!" Naruto growled back, lunging at Sasuke.

"The Hokage isn't done talking, Naruto." Kakashi's hand shot out and restrained the blond.

"You aren't going to be just carrying her things, Naruto." Tsunade continued from where she left off. "The cellist in question belongs to a very powerful family that has several enemies, you'll be ensuring her safety."

Naruto snorted and crossed his arms, still not buying it.

"The cellist's name is Mia." Tsunade said, ignoring him. "Any questions?"

"Yes," Naruto put his hand up, "What's a cellist?"

Sasuke snorted, "This proves just how much of an idiot you are. A cellist, plays the cello, and before you ask; a cello is like a violin, but bigger, you sit in a chair when you play it and you hold it between your legs."

"Oh my God, Sasuke, you're so smart!" Sakura squealed.

There was a knock on the door. "Come in."

In came a girl, no two girls. One was short, maybe nine years old. Her blond hair was cropped to her chin, and she had brown eyes. The other one was taller, about thirteen years old. Her sandy hair hung just above her shoulders, and looked like she had cut it herself with a kunai. her eyes where a dark topaz. And she was carrying a huge, black instrument case.

"I thought you said there was only one of them." Sasuke muttered, unfortunately Tsunade heard him.

"There is only one cellist. But her sister is accompanying her."

Naruto has waltzed up to the tall girl and was eyeing the case. "So, you're Mia," He squatted, squinting at the case, a frown on his face. "Who's going to carry this thing?"

"She's Mia," the girl jerked a thumb at her sister, "And you are going to carry this thing."

The older girl lifted up the cello and dropped it onto Naruto's head.

The little girl, Mia, immediately rounded on her sister, "What the hell did you do that for, that is my cello you idiot!"

"Whoops, clumsy me," The older girl replied, "good thing we hired these guys to carry our bags."

Mia rolled her eyes and stepped forward, "I'm Mia, and this is my sister Anku."

"I'm Kakashi."

"I'm Sakura."

"Naruto."

"Sasuke."

Mia's eyes swept over all of them, examining them closely, "Blue haired boy. You carry the cello."

"Whatever." Sasuke shrugged.

"His name's Sasuke!" Sakura said, "show some respect!"

"Why can't I carry the cello?" Naruto demanded, determined not to let Sasuke do everything.

"Because if you carry it, by the end of the day it will be broken into splinters no larger than my hand." Mia replied.

Kakashi sighed. This was going to be an interesting mission.
