"You think what," Carly's father asked his own father.

"I think that Carly should live with me. I just don't think Spencer is responsible enough to take care of her"

"Sorry dad," Carly's father said, "I disagree with you"

"But-"

"Like you used to say," he said, "Case closed"

He hung up.

Carly's grandfather was angry. How could his son be so unreasonable? Now he would have to talk with Spencer and try to convince him. It didn't work.

"Spencer your father said I could"

"Really," Spencer said, "Well I should just give him a call and see if he really did say that"

"DAMNIT SPENCER I LOVE YOU BUT YOU'RE TOO IRRESPONSIBLE-"

"I am NOT irresponsible," Spencer said, "and you are so negative it's not even funny"

"I'm not negative. I'm tough but I'm not negative. I just do what I feel is right"

"Well taking Carly away from her family is not what's right. Taking Carly away from her family is what's wrong. If you really loved Carly you wouldn't even be thinking about doing that."

"I'm Carly's family too"

"It's not happening. Case closed. You're more then welcome to stay for dinner though"

Hurt and angry grand-dad retorted, "Whatever your making I'm sure is just as bad as your decision. No thank you"

He walked out and slammed the door.

Spencer shrugged. He knew grand-dad would come around. He always did.
