Chapter 1: A Trip to the Slums
Genesis decided to visit the slums.
He was bored, no one was awake yet, and there were no missions.
The sun was just starting to rise, the sky turning from the black of night to the orange of early morning as it did.
Besides, he'd never really visited the Slums before, just gone there on missions, so he figured it was a great idea.
He quietly exited the Shinra building and walked down to Sector 5, where the Slums were located.
He headed to the church, a place that caught his attention, seemingly out of place.
He opened the door and walked in. In the middle of the church, tending to flowers was a girl.
Genesis approached her, and she looked up at him.
Her eyes shown in the morning light, rays of it shot down from the hole in the church's ceiling.
They looked like two bright green emeralds, and Genesis couldn't resist staring into them.
Her voice brought him back, it sounded like a beautiful singing bird, "What's wrong?"
Suddenly, Genesis grabbed her hand, and kissed her on the cheek.
