Aerith x Zack(Aerick)

Ever since that day Zack had met that girl in the Slums, he had dreams about her, longed to see her when they were apart.

He had even thought about quitting his job as a Soldier member so he could be with her, maybe even start a family.

So, it was with sorrow and regret that he stepped bravely in front of those hundreds of Soldiers, knowing that he was about to die, knowing that these were his last moments on Earth, he felt the bullets rip through his body, but felt no pain, his body was completely numb.

His last thoughts were of her, and as he died, he promised himself that he would see her again.

Her name was Aerith.

When she was informed of his death, she cried for weeks, as the people wondered what had happened to the once cheerful flower girl, later life went on as usual, but nothing was ever quite the same.

There was always something different about Aerith, as if when Zack had died, a piece of her had gone with him.

She changed her clothes, and grew more serious, more solemn.

Later, she met Cloud.

She tried filling the emptiness left by Zack by replacing him with Cloud, because he rminded her of him, but the truth was, she never had any real feelings for Cloud.

No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't get Zack out of her mind.

So, she put all of her focus on the battle that had unfolded, the battle against Sephiroth.

She couldn't really concentrate on the battle at hand, and was often distracted.

She was known to space out often, her thoughts turning to Zack once again.

Finally, she couldn't take it and decided to visit the church in the Slums where she had first met Zack.

She entered the church, and standing there was Zack, she ran to him, but he disappeared.

She wondered if maybe she was losing her mind, had he really been standing there, or was it just an illusion, a trick played on her by her mind.

Suddenly, there he was again, she turned around, and ran to him.

This time, he didn't disappear.

Instead, he took her hand and said, "I'll always be with you Aerith, as long as you remember me."

Then, he vanished. Aerith didn't want him to go, but she remembered his words, and she was happy.

Sadly. At that same time, Sephiroth was plotting the planet's downfall, he was going to end this battle, and get revenge on the planet that had created so much suffering for him, at the same time he would also be finishing what his mother, Jenova, had started.

Aerith and the others discovered his plan, and started trying to figure out a way to stop it.

Aerith knew how, she went to the church and tried to summon Holy, the only thing strong enough to counter Sephiroth's Meteor spell, his attempt to destroy the planet.

Before she could finish the spell, Sephiroth appeared out of the sky and stabbed her.

She fell to the ground, dead.

After Sephiroth left the church, she opened her eyes, and saw a bright light.

In the middle of that light stood Zack.

He held out his hand, and Aerith grabbed it, holding on as he pulled her up into Heaven.

Now, they could finally be together.

After a fierce battle, Cloud defeated Sephiroth, and the world was saved.

Everything was peaceful again, everything was right. Everything was as it should be.
