The Legend of Zelda: City of Darkness
Chapter 1: Damsyl in distress.
A/N: This story takes place right after Majora's Mask.It is just a prologue so it is pretty short please review. Working on Chapter 2.
Whenever you think you could just go home something will stop you in your tracks. In Links case this is always true after saving Hyrule and Termina he just wants to go home and relax, but with his luck..... there may be no way.
" Oh man I can't wait to get back to Hyrule and relax," said Link
All of a sudden he hears a loud scream in the distance. Link ran toward the scream and saw a woman being attacked by some Redeads.
With one swift of Link's Gilded Sword the Redeads were dead.
"Are you alright?" asked Link
"Yes thanks for saving me," said the woman "and what is your name?"
"I'm Link," said Link
"My name is Maryl," said Maryl
As link looked around he saw a town, but it looked desolate and almost empty.
"What is this place," asked Link.
"This place is called Castle Town," said Maryl. "and that castle in the horizon is Hyrule castle.
When Link heard her say those last two words he was shocked and he wondered what happened.
"What happened to Hyrule?" asked Link.
"You know Hyrule?" asked Maryl.
"Yeah I was born here," said Link "what happened here?"
"For a few months all was peaceful, until one day an ominous person went to Hyrule Castle wishing to talk to the king. When the guards refused he forced his way into the castle and into the throne room. The man's name is Zolan. He demanded that the king hand over the kingdom and if he didn't then he would kill the king. The king refused and charged at Zolan. Zolan used evil magic and killed the king. Also he imprisoned Princess Zelda and will marry her to become a true king. Then he attacked many villages in Hyrule, and he resides in his castle surrounded by the City of Darkness."
When Link heard that Zelda got captured he jumped.
"Zelda was captured!?" asked Link.
"Yes, you know her?" asked Maryl.
"Yeah I saved her once before." said Link.
"Wait then your the Link that saved Hyrule from Ganondorf" said Maryl.
" Yes" said Link
" Then maybe you can help us again." said Maryl "first you must collect the four pieces of the light to gain acces to the Light pyramid and get the sword of the gods to get past the barrier of the City of Darkness and defeat Zolan."
"Well I guess I better get going to save Hyrule again." said Link "thanks for giving me that information but where do I find these pieces of light."
"The first is in the forest, the second is in the mountains, the third is in the water, and the last is in the heavens."
"Thanks for the info good-bye," said Link.
"Bye Link and good luck," said Maryl.
Link went into the forest and found a big cave, and a sign that said The cave of Light. DO NOT ENTER.
" Well time to get started." said Link "guess I can never rest"
