Golden eyed and terrified.

They had golden eyes, with angel-shaped faces.

They were terrifying.

Full of joy, was I.

To be terrified. So happy was I to die.

Of the golden-eyed and terrified.

That is what we were told not to do.

To die of the golden-eyed and terrified.

I was a rebel.

Now I am golden-eyed and terrified.
