So I'm sitting there, listening to "This is Gospel" by Panic! at the Disco

I'm a little inspired by it, so I open WordPad and try to start writing something,

Hoping my plot bunnies will come out of hibernation

then BAM one jumps out and mauls my face off!

I haven't had anything is so long!

Am I strangling this inspo rabbit? *crazed look*

It's not that Nova would particularly like the idea of defining herself as the property of someone, but like it or not, she definitely belonged to someone, and that "someone" was not Otto.

Of course it wasn't him. Why would it be him? He's just the sweet little mechanic that's always in the background, and Otto was usually happy with that. The people around him were happy! How could he stay upset by that!? But sometimes Otto still wanted what he let go.

She cared about him, and they connected on a level no one else did. When he saw her smile, he couldn't help but do the same. Heck! When he saw he do most things, he couldn't help but smile. She was confident, strong, fun, and a great person to talk to. She could always make him blush. He just felt happy when he was with her!

Otto had the biggest crush.

On any other occasion, Otto might have gathered his courage and told Nova how he felt, but this was a special situation.

Otto was going to say something until he noticed how SPRX looked at her. How SPRX followed her. How SPRX pestered her. How SPRX tripped over himself when she was around. How SPRX sighed under his breath after she left.

Otto was the one to see it. Before anyone else, even SPRX himself.

While Otto had a puppy crush on Nova, SPRX was head-over-heels.

When he looked at her, he wasn't looking at the coolest girl in the world, he was looking at a walking goddess. Her smile didn't just make him smile, it made him melt. Hanging out with her wasn't fun, it was bliss.

SPRX was hopelessly devoted, and the longer Otto watched, the more he saw her reactions.

In all honesty, it hurt for Otto to see SPRX get her just as tripped up and nervous. Every sideways glace at each other was like a dagger shooting through him. He could almost hate SPRX!

...almost.

No matter how sad and hurt Otto felt, it wasn't anything to seeing the two of them smile with each other. Seeing them happy was better than being happy in his book.

So Otto was content to watch and know that they were happy, and that he didn't get in the way of their happiness.

Otto loved them both enough to let her go.

Except, she was never his to let go of. All he let go of was petty hate.

Even if he didn't want to let go, she would have been SPRX's, no matter what Otto did.

Of course Nova wouldn't particularly like the idea of defining herself as the property of someone.

YES! I finally got something out!

And something good!

And I finally did something meaningful that was Otto based!

anyways. If you look close at the series...Otto has a crush.

Nothing near the level SPRX is at, but it's still there.
