To Be A Snake, Or To Be A Dragon
To be a snake
Or to be a dragon
That is the question
Two kinds of darkness
Two different paths
A choice to make
M
What of the snake
The options are clear
To fail is to die
To succeed is to live
Striving to be the best
With no one above
M
What of the dragon
Options become less clear
Exploits to control
Potent words having effect
World shattering events
A choice to change
M
What of the snake
Self motivation is key
There is no team
There is only I
Life is being alone
Having nobodies problems
M
What of the dragon
Moving among them
Controlling their paths
Adjusting destiny
Changing the dance
Belonging somewhere
M
What of the snake
Mistakes never made
To be above all
That is destiny
Security is never lost
That is life complete
M
What of the dragon
Out of grace falling
But constantly uprising
To be fulfilled are dreams
of hope and desires
Though dark they may be
M
What of the snake
Jealous of others
Wanting to seize
There is now ours
Thieving at times
Coniving at times
M
What of the dragon
Ours is to protect
To keep from harm
To never forget
Seizing back
Rarely sharing
M
What of the snake
Blood runs cold
Not an ounce of heat
Not a care at all
Self is life abound
Self prevails over all
M
What of the dragon
Blood too runs cold
But a heart of fire
Just rarely not seen
True self is hidden
There is no one to trust
M
What of the snake
Evil to the end
Darkness is the core
No light comes forth
Pain caries forth
With each poisonous bite
M
What of the dragon
Darkness surrounding
Prevailing in course
Until decision is made
Light then let in
The pain destroyed
M
A choice to make
Two different paths
Two kinds of darkness
That is the question
To be a snake
Author's note - This is for all the people wondering if Draco Malfoy really is good or bad and whether he'll make the choice to change in the book. Those looking at the publication date, I planed on writing this and posting it before the seventh book came out. But as of when I wrote and posted this I have not yet had a chance to read the book. The idea came from the meaning of the Latin word that Draco's name comes from, it means both snake and dragon, both which are very different, but both reptilian.
