Summary: Kimberly left the rangers to pursue her dream, but while she was gone she wrote Tommy a letter to tell him she found someone new. What was the real story behind the letter and what transpired afterward?

A/N: I'm going to tell you right here and now this story strays from canon. It goes along canon up till the letter, but beyond that is what I think should have happened. Just so you know, this chapter takes place in 2007, then with chapter two we start with the flashbacks to 1995. I also need some volunteers to be betas, so if you're interested let me know.

Disclaimer: I do not own Power Rangers or anything affiliated with it.

Prologue

Kimberly walked into the quiet house and trudged up the stairs. Her gymnastics class had been a tiresome one today. She had some promising talent in the class though. There were a few people she felt she could train right into the Pan Globals. It had been years since Kimberly's own Pan Global experience. She had some regrets about that time, even to this day. She tucked her short brown hair behind her ear as she walked into her bedroom. She sat down on her bed and began removing her shoes.

She glanced up on the wall where her three gold medals from the Pan Globals were hung and smiled slightly. Yes, she had some regrets, but she still fared well in the meets. Even boyfriendless. She wiped away a single tear that slid down her cheek. Kimberly Ann, why do you let it plague you now? So much had transpired since she wrote that fateful letter. The letter she never should have written. Even now she couldn't take it back. She wrote the letter. The question remained the same though, why did she let this letter plague her. She had a happy life now.

She sighed as thoughts went through her head of her teenage days. When she had attended Angel Grove High she started out as your average student. Then she and her four best friends had become power rangers. Even now her life was changed forever by her decision to accept that power coin. When she was fifteen if someone had told her a decision she made at that age would stick with her for life she would have laughed at them. She had been a popular, bubbly girl who lived her life for the now. It didn't matter what th future held.

Then she met him. The new kid, Tommy. The way he smiled at her when he looked her direction. It was truly love at first sight. Little did she know at that point he would be one of the toughest battles she faced, both as a ranger and in life itself. After the evil green ranger's spell was broken and Tommy joined the team they worked together as friends for a while, then the two became an item.

People say high school relationships never last. Unfortunately they were right. A three year relationship went down the drain after Kimberly moved on to the Pan Globals. She had tried the relationship out for a while but then she decided it was best to let him go. At the time it seemed like the smartest idea. So maybe it hadn't been as smart as she had thought. She had been stuck with the decision straight through the Pan Globals.

As she laid down on her bed and began to doze off, she thought about the letter. She honestly hated that accursed letter. Even after things worked themselves out she wanted to go back in time and change it. Kimberly, who was happily married and had a beautiful daughter wanted to change the past...

A/N: I'm sorry this was short, I just wanted to get some thoughts out without giving too much away. Yes Kimberly's married. I intentionally kept her last name out, but it wouldn't surprise me if people pick it up pretty easily. R/R and I
