Summary - How would Ronon have saved the day - and his lady love - and not John.

As Ronon got off the transporter and looked out at the virtual jungle of tendrils, he mentally snorted at the idea of McKay making it through that mess. Carefully, he picked his way down corridors and through bulkheads until finally, there was a section he could not get through.

He drew his sword. It felt as natural as breathing to him to fight his way through an obstacle - especially to get to Jennifer.

He stopped though. This obstacle was - in some sick way - a part of Jennifer. There had to be another way of getting to her. A more certain way. He started talking. To her. "Jennifer, I hope you can hear me." The tendrils pulsed just a little. "Well, I know you think you're alone. You're not. I'm on my way to help you . I will always come when you need me." Finally, as if forced against their very nature, the tendrils moved some. "That's great, Jen. I need you to move some more of these things out of the way. I'm coming for you."

Inwardly, Ronon cursed soundly. He wasn't good at talking. In fact, he'd be willing to bet there were people on Atlantis who'd swear he never spoke. Still, this was for Jen. And it was working. Of course, if it hadn't, Ronon would have cut his way through as if he had a machete instead of a sword.

He had one more corridor to go. It was getting almost impossible to tell where Atlantis stopped and the wraith tentacles began. They were becoming interwoven across doorways with Jennifer barely being able to affect opening them wide enough for him to get through.

Finally, he was at the door to the isolation room. It was so overgrown here, Ronon knew he'd have to cut his way through. "Jen, you've done well. I'll be there before you know it. Carson made up some stuff I need to inject you with. Just a couple of more seconds."

And swift as lightning, Ronon pulled his sword out and sliced through the tangle blocking his way. The tendrils started to come at him. Ronon darted left and right through the gauntlet that was the isolation room.

It was just as he was kneeling down to inject Jennifer with the anti-virus that one tentacle wrapped around his throat. Ronon jammed the needle in her arm - he'd have to apologize later for that - and the tentacle tightened around his neck and yanked him backward.

Everything went black.

The next thing he knew, he woke in the infirmary. He blinked away the light spots and was pleased to see Jennifer sitting by his bedside. Ronon smiled and tried to speak. "You're okay," he croaked.

"Shhh," Jennifer cautioned. "You have a bruised larynx. We'll talk about how happy I am that you saved me later." That was when Ronon noticed she was wearing a hospital gown to match his own and was sitting in a wheelchair. Ronon reached for her hand and simply held it. And for the moment, everything was wonderful.

A/N There it is. Amazing what a person can come up with in the state of utter boredom! As an aside, never try writing while riding down the road. It's hard to read your handwriting later when you need to type it!! Reviews are like ice cream sundaes! I love them!!
