Nat paced around the front yard of his best friend's house. David came out and pat Nat on the pack. "Relax Nat, what are the odds that she really is?" David asked flipping his blonde hair out of his face. "I don't know man" Nat said pacing even faster.
As they spoke, Allie, Nat's girlfriend sat on the curb. David and Nat sat next o her. Allie's brown eyes were glassy and watery. Her brown hair looked as if Allie had been pulling at it. "So...what did it say?" Nat asked nervously. Allie pulled at her pink stiped shirt. "Nat, I'm pregnant" Allie declared. She broke down and started sobbing. She never liked to cry in front of people but this time she just couldn't hold it in.
Nat was frozen with shock. David wrapped his arms around Allie and comforted her. "How could I be so stupid?" Allie asked clenching her stomach. "Your not stupid, and you know that" David said lifting her chin. "Look at me." David said. Allie looked. "Allie, your not stupid" She smiled and hugged David, then sat next t Nat who was still in shock.
"Nat, I'm sorry." Allie felt as if it was all her fault. "Don't be, its not all your fault, no one forced us into this." Nat said grabbing Allie's hand.
"How do you think we're going to tell our parents?" Allie asked.
Nat thought about the question and fell backwards in the grass.
