CHAPTER 1:
My name is Tobias Eaton. This is my story and my goodbye to all I love.
It's been years since my love, Tris, had died. God I miss her, everyone misses her. Well, that's beside the point, for now. I had moved on, everyone moved on. But deep down in our hearts we were so depressed and sad. Even though 7 years had passed. David is dead. Literally, dead, not he has no memories dead. Christina was so heartbroken that he had killed her best friend, she snapped. Somehow she found him and slowly killed him. I must be a horrible person because… I'm glad he's dead. Caleb had given me a letter from Tris two years ago that read:
Tobias,
I know your thinking "are you determined to wind up dead?" Shockingly, no. It may seem like that now, or whenever you're reading this, but it is NOT true. I can't say I 100% believe in destiny. But I do believe me were put into this world for a reason. Whether we are supposed to change the world itself or change someone I believe there is a reason. I may be divergent, but I am also dauntless. I am a warrior, made to fight. I have no idea if this will end my fight; all I know is that this my purpose. Oh Tobias, my pure hearted Tobias, this may be where I end, but not where we end. I love you, I have loved you for a long time and I will never stop loving you. Always remember 4 plus 6 equals 10.

God, I don't understand. I don't know why I don't understand. She explained it. I have moved on. I guess. I am in love with Christina now. In fact we are going to get married. That is more then I've ever gotten out of Tris. She is gone and and she's not coming back. But what did she mean by this s not where we end? Someone knocked on my door. It was Zeke. I dropped my glass when i heard what he had said. I thought is was some sick jok, little did i realize, i was about the truth about the last 7 years.
