3 days after the battle between Victoria's newborns and the Cullens
When I woke up I heard the leaves rustling near me. I looked up at the sky and saw the moon which shone so bright in the dark sky. There were millions of stars shining down at me. It looked so beautiful. Then I wondered, where was I? I looked around and took in my surroundings.
I was surrounded by large coniferous trees. The towered above and I suddenly felt small just sitting here, taking in everything. I tilted my head to the right and heard rushing water. I turned and saw that it wasn't near me. I wondered, did I hear a few miles away? No that what was impossible. What was I? No, who am I? I hadn't really thought about myself since I woke up. Then, I heard whimpering behind me.
"Whose there", I said hearing the musical tone to my voice.
Then a wolf came out from hiding behind the trees. It looked at me straight into my eyes and whimpered again. I took one look at it and then looked at myself. There was a bite mark on my hand. The stared at it and whimpered again.
"Is this what's bothering you? Am I a monster?" I asked while slowly coming to realization. I was a vampire. No wonder I could hear from miles away. No wonder I felt odd. Then I looked up to my left and saw a little bit of smoke, the remains of a fire.
I stood up and ran to the house that I knew wouldn't be occupied.
