A/N: for day 3 I was originally going to update Travel Buddies since I was already writhing a battle scene but I'll update that after MarissonShipping week because I want to do something special for each day.

"Chespie! Finish him off with take down!"
"Ches!" Cried the Pokemon as it slammed it's tiny body towards the foes Venipede.
The youngsters Venipede fainted.
"This isn't over yet, go Scraggy!" The younger exclaimed as he sent out his final Pokemon.
Chespie could barely stand at this point so Mairin picked him up and sent out her other Pokemon.
"Go Bebe!" Mairin exclaimed as she sent out her flabebe.
Alain, who was watching Mairins battle began to spectate the battle is his head.
She sent out a fairy type, even though it's on a lower level than Scraggy and has almost no battle experience, but it knows Fairy wind so it should be okay.
"Bebe! Use magical leaf!" Said Mairin. Magical leaf hit and dibs use much damage.
'Does Mairin even know about type advantages?' Alain wonder to himself.
"Scraggy use Low Kick!" The younger told his Pokemon.
"Bebe! Dodge then use magical leaf!" Mairin called out. As Scraggy tried to kick Bebe, Bebe floated up then used magical leaf.
"Critical hit!" Said Mairin with a smile as she noticed her grass moves had taken a noticeable effect on the Pokemon's body.
"Scraggy! Use Feint Attack!"
Scraggy hit Bebe with darkness, but it wasn't very affective.
"Bebe use Fairy wind!" Mairin called. A pink most washed over the foes scraggy and almost knocked the Pokemon out.
"You Pokemon knew a fairy type move all this?" Asked the youngster.
"Flabebe is a fairy type, I was just using grass moves to throw you off," said Mairin with a giggle.
'So was this her strategy? Lulling her opponent into false security?' Alain wondered. He was amazed she could create such a perfect little trap for her opponent.
"Scraggy use sand attack!" Said the youngster with desperation in his voice.
"Bebe dodge and use magical leaf!" Mairin called. Bebe couldn't dodge the sand attack but Bebe shook of most of the sand and used magical leaf.
"Scraggy dodge!" The youngster called out, but he was to late. The attack landed a direct hit and scraggy fainted.
The youngster began to sulk as he called Scraggy back to it's Pokeball. He handed Mairin 300 pokedollars then quickly left.
"That battle surprised me," said Alain as he approached Mairin.
"Did you think I was going to lose?" asked Mairin.
"Not at all, I just thought that strategy you used was fascinating," Alain told the girl.
"Really? I just made that up since I forgot Bebe knew Fairy wind," Mairin said with a nervous laugh.
Alain sighed with disappointment, he should have known, Mairin was still a new trainer so she still hasn't perfected her techniques yet.
"I'll never be as good as you Alain," Mairin said in sad and quiet tone.
Alain's eyes widened as he looked at Mairin, it almost seemed as she could cry.
'You're a great battler and you will only get stronger,' were the words Alain wanted to say but couldn't form.
"That battle made me hungry and we're almost to the next town, I'll buy us something!" said Mairin with a smile as she held up her prize money.
"Will that be enough for both us?" asked Alain.
"It'll at least be enough for Chespie and I," said Mairin with a wink as she began to walk forward. Alain followed Mairin as they continued their day's journey.
