I Couldn't Resist

I was sitting in class one day. I was looking straight ahead in thought. Ever since the Pharaoh had gone to the afterlife I've been having these strange feelings towards Yugi. The feelings were somehow frustrating to me because I couldn't figure out what the feelings were. I never had these feelings before. Then I remembered something my mom told me. She said that when she first saw my father then she knew he was the one for her. She always had these butterflies in her stomach when she was with him. Then she knew that it was love. I wondered if what I was feeling was love. I glanced over to my right. Yugi Muto was sitting at his desk. Joey was sitting in front of Yugi's desk playing Duel Monsters with him. I stare at Yugi. He looked so peaceful. So innocent. So cute. I blushed in embarrassment and turned away. Did I just think Yugi was cute? How come I hadn't notice his cuteness before? I always thought he was caring and kind. He was always the best at Duel Monsters and had this thing of forgiving people no matter what they have done. And then there's his hair. I thought it was weird when I first met him but now it looks kind of cool. I was snapped back to reality by the bell ringing. I started gathering my stuff together as the rest of the class left the classroom. Yugi and Joey were putting their cards away. I finish getting my stuff and leave the classroom.

I walk down the hall to my locker. I heard someone running behind me. I turn around to see Yugi running towards me. Why's he running towards me? Does he want to tell me something? I thought. Yugi stopped when he reached step with me.

"Hi, Tea," he greeted me.

I smile brightly. "Hi,"

We stopped walking when we reached our lockers.

"I've got tons of homework to do when I get home," Yugi said.

"I do too," I say. There was a long silence between us. I thought hard of what to say to him.

"Do you want to come to my grandpa's Game Shop and look at the new cards?" Yugi asked suddenly.

I nodded quickly. "Sure!"

"Great," Yugi gave me an adorable smile. I couldn't resist his cute face. I don't think no one could anyway. I close my eyes and lean forward towards his face. I was going to kiss him. I felt my lips touch something not hard and not soft. I open my eyes. Yugi's backpack. Yugi had his back turned to me, as he dug through his own locker. I moved away quickly, embarrassed. I hoped no one had seen me just kiss Yugi's backpack. Yugi closes his locker and turns to me. He looked a little cross. I bite my bottom lip and wonder if he was angry with me.

"I can't find my dictionary," Yugi said. "Mind if I can use yours?" he says ever so sweetly.

A small sigh of relief escaped my lips. At least he wasn't angry with me. "Sure you can," I open my locker and look through all the junk for a dictionary. Once I find it I hand it over to Yugi. Yugi takes the dictionary and grins gladly.

"Thank you, Tea!" he exclaims as he races away. "See you after school!"

I lean against my locker and sigh lovingly. He was just too cute. "Oh Yugi…"
