The thing that shut up the Straw hats at the dinner table was by no means anything unusual. It was a simple laugh.
The low chuckle might have been ignored under the loud raucous laughs of Luffy and his crew if it had come from a Robin. Chuckles were Robin's sort of thing yet this one hadn't come from her.
The person it did come from was what made it unusual.
They all turned to the source of the sound. They managed to glimpse a small smile on Law's face before he realised what he had been doing and clamped a hand over his mouth.
"Oh my god, did he jus-"
"Chopper check for a fever!"
Law was blushing loads now and he abruptly stood up, burying his face into the feather collar of his shirt. "Excuse me." He mumbled before hastily beating a retreat from the astounded stares aimed at him. The straw hats were still staring after him minutes after he had shut the door behind him.
"Was Torao just-"
"Yeah he was definitely laughing."
"Who made him laugh?"
The funny thing was none of them could figure out what it was that made him laugh. They had all made a bet joking about who would make him laugh but when it had happened they were all too busy having fun to watch him. There were so many things happening at that moment that it was impossible to discern which of them was the cause of his laugh.
Eventually all the bet money was returned as they couldn't decide who was the culprit.
