The Ten Commandments of Gryffindor
1. Thou shalt show courage and fortitude in the face of adversity and uncertainty and meet thy challenges head on
2. Thou shalt deal fair and divine justice by way of word or sword and engage against all injustices
3. Thou shalt honor thy house and wear thy colors boldly and without shame
4. Thou shalt promise to stand up for and defend those to whom are incapable of defending thyselves for this is seen as mighty
5. Thou shalt never turn thy back on those who are in need, family or friend alike
6. Thou shalt promise to defend thy honor and truth
7. Thou shalt show mercy and kindness and be chivalrous to the meek and the mild
8. Thou shalt not ensue combat with an unarmed and defenseless opponent for this is seen as detestable and cowardly
9. Thou shalt promise to be in remembrance that a true leader is thy servant of whom thy lead
10. Thou shalt walk with thy head held high and bear lion's mark
As a Gryffindor I am subject to these commandments and will show my pride for the noble house of lions, bearing my arms proudly and unabashed. By way of Gryffindor no one person who does not abide by the commandments is to not be seen as such a Gryffindor and shall be looked upon in shame.
