Light and L lay on the bed they shared at headquarters. Light looking up at the ceiling an L curled up beside him, head on his chest, eyes hazed out, his breathing in deep breaths. He blinked a few time to get the tears out of the way but they kept coming back.
Light hadn't expected this. When he told L that he was Kira he was ready to be yelled at and then sent to jail not L having a emotional break down. Light knew there was going to be some shock when he told his lover the truth but considering it was L he thought the other could handle it.
Rubbing the detective's back Light looked at him. "You knew I was Kira. so why did it shock you?"
L shrugged then took a moment to think before looking up. "I convinced myself that Raito-kun was not Kira and that he loved me…" L voice was filled with sadness that caused his eyes to water again.
"I do love you. it just I cant hide this from you. I've already decided that I'm going to use the Death Note to kill myself."
"Raito-kun!"
"I can't go to haven or hell now that I've used it so this it what I have to do."
They stayed quite for a long time before L looked him to the eyes. "I will come with Raito-kun."
"No. you can't."
"Raito-kun does not want me to go with him?"
"I have to do this alone, L." Light said firmly. "Please understand." He lifted the others chin placing a lit kiss on his lips.
"I love you, Light" L whispered
"I love you to… L Lawliet."
It had been a moth after Light Yagami died, to everyone but L, Light had died fighting Kira and Kira body was burned to cinder in the building when it had collapsed. Light was announced as a hero as was L, but
The Kira case was over, but L was depressed, and ever day looked more like a broken heated Angel.
