Just left them imprinted on her poor, poor heart until it was covered with his hideous marks, and he saw no one—no one, but him.
And then, he just had to choose that moment to turn his back on her, and direct his feelings towards another girl.
For Heavens' sakes, she couldn't even scowl at his retreating figure!
Well, she'd had enough!
One day, Meiling decided, she'd take her first step and stomp footprints on his heart, and see if he'd like that!
