A/N: This is my first time writing on my new snazzy computer. Okay new story. Miroku and Sango have been seriously involved for over a year now, when they have a terrible fight questioning his faithfulness. Kagome, in her optimistic ways, plays matchmaker and wins something for herself.

Chapter 1: I Still Love That Baka.

"Inuyasha, be quiet!" Kagome stated rather loudly.

"Scoot over!!" he yelled back.

"Shh, here they come."

Sango and Miroku walked on the path and cut into the forest, stopping just past the hidden Kagome and Inuyasha.

Sango looked towards the ground with tears falling.

They had been fighting all morning now and finally left after they noticed a few people listening.

"So, what's her name?" Sango stared into his eyes.

Miroku covered his face with his hands and took a deep sigh.

"I don't know how to convince you that the letter is a lie."

"Miroku, she obviously knows you, and what she said sounds so...familiar."

"I was never serious with anyone, not before you."

"For five seconds can you stop trying to be sweet, and just tell me the truth? Everything you've ever said is fake."

"Sango, I...I'm sorry you don't believe me."

Sango's voice rose quickly and became harsh and disdainful.

"I never want to see your face again. Just stay away from me!"

Miroku took a step towards her and tried to caress her face, only to be slapped. He kept his eyes closed for a second, to block out the stinging feeling. When his eyes opened, she was gone.

Kagome jumped from the bushes and chased down Sango, while Inuyasha stepped out calmly and patted Miroku on the back.

"So, what was her name?" Inuyasha sighed.

"Although this might look very bad to you Inuyasha, I swear on my soul that I would have never cheated on Sango. She's the one I've been after all this time."

"Now you just need to convince Sango." Inuyasha looked back, wondering how Kagome was coming along.

Sango tumbled to the ground and just lay on her side, breathing.

She heard the light footsteps of Kagome behind her, and closed her eyes, sniffling.

Kagome sat down beside her and put her hand on her back. Sango put her hand over Kagome's and whispered, "I wish I could go back."

Kagome sat in silence for a few moments, trying to think of how to save something that had so many problems.

"Do you have the letter?" Kagome gulped, regretting the words immediately.

"Yes, you should read it. I really don't mind."

My Dearest Miroku,

You left in such a hurry the last time I saw you, I wanted to tell you something to remember me by. The first time we met I thought you were a pervert. I remember just laughing when you asked if I would bear your children. Then I slapped you, and tried so hard to be serious. Over the few weeks you were with me, I grew to love you, and realized that you were a much better person than first impression would have liked me to believe. When you left, I thought my life would never be the same. I have come to find that maybe I was right. If you would come visit me, it would mean the world to me.

Always,

Ai

"Wow." Kagome folded the letter and handed it back to Sango, trying to figure out how to make her pain go away.

"I just don't know how to move on. I still love that baka.

Later that night, Kagome and Inuyasha met up to go over everything that had happened.

"We need to find this Ai girl." Kagome yawned.

"How can you still think everything will be okay?" Inuyasha sat down as Kagome shivered.

He pulled her down into his lap and she snuggled closer, making him blush.

She closed her eyes, falling asleep and whispered, "If they love each other, nothing else matters."
