It smells like autumn and whiskey, and love and time. The smell is infinite and new, yet somehow, oh so familiar. A smell he shouldn't smell...an impossible scent; and over there...a crack in the whole of reality. And he can feel its ridges, catching his hearts and tearing them apart. Which universe could this lead to? He pushes the TARDIS where she almost refuses to go. Then there's a flash of golden light. As soon as the sky's been lit up though, it's dark again. And there, standing watch, is a wolf. She starts howling...almost a song. He watches as the crack heals, and right as the last of it closes, he sees the wolf run through. Right then and there, he knows just who she is. The Bad Wolf…his Bad Wolf...defender of the Earth. The stuff of legends. He falls to the floor in shambles, unable to stay strong anymore. Tears spill over his cheeks and he clenches his stomach, attempting to swallow his loneliness once more. He was unaware that it was possible to be any emptier that he already was, and now she's gone. She's gone forever.
