Letting Him Go
One-Shot dedicated to Harrison (Writer of Angel)
Written by Manar
Prudence Halliwell opened the wooden to door to her wide room. She wore a white shirt with a light blue jacket over it and some tight blue jeans. Prue looked sad; really sad. Hey eyes were filled with tears that she had let loose a while ago.
She could not believe it happened. She hoped it was all a nightmare. She wished she would wake up, immediately. Would she? No. That was the answer that stabbed Prue in the heart. She couldn't take it. As her door was shut, she was dragged down to the floor. Her eyes watered deeply. She wept and cried till she lost her breath.
How could she let him go? The man she fell in love, the man she cared for. He was gone. He was not coming back. One energy ball had changed one life. "Andy! Come back!" Prue said, voice high, yet weak. "Come back, now! Please"
All the memories flashed before eyes. She remembered the time she met Andy Trudeao, when she shared her first kiss with him, the time she revealed her secret, and the latest, the sight of his body that lay on the ground, dead.
Prue got on her feet as she inhaled the oxygen she needed. She walked to her wooden cabinet that stood in front of one of the four walls. She opened the drawer and picked up a red book. A photo album, actually.
She went over to her bed and lay on it. She started to stare at the pictures of her lover and herself. She glanced at the photo taken the time they visited the circus, and that one time they walked under the rain. She smiled at the fact that those pictures were asked to be taken from total strangers. But they didn't care. Why would they, anyway?
Page after page, memory after memory, tear after tear. It was over. Everything was damaged. The heartache would take almost forever to heal. Then Prue thought of something that would guarantee that death, caused by magic, would never happen again. She was sure of this. Giving up my powers would be the only solution. She thought. Yes, I have to. For Andy.
As she arrived to the last page of her photograph album, she witnessed something incredible. It looked familiar, too. She had seen the same thing happen, almost a year back.
Except this time, it wasn't one the Book of Shadows, nor was it for her mother; it was from Andy. She knew this from his beautiful handwriting. She smiled at the words that were being written all by themselves, magically. Prue didn't pay attention about the magic of how it was being written; she only cared about the magic of the words. Oh my God. She thought, happily.
She read the message over and over, again and again. She couldn't take her eyes of it. It was the most pure note she's ever read in her entire life. The sentences were simply delightful and enchanting. The eldest Halliwell sister then decided she would read it out loud, for Andy to hear her voice:
"Dear Prue,
Don't you dare give up. Don't you dare release more tears, because it would affect mine.
Just know that I will always be there for you, dead or alive.
Know that you're the best thing I could ever ask for.
Yes, I know I suck at saying goodbye to the woman I adore.
I don't want to leave you in this mad world, but I know that you can handle it, no matter what.
And know that in each end, there's a new beginning.
I don't want you to be miserable, because it would make me heartbroken.
I love you, Prue Halliwell. And you better love me, too.
From Andy."
Prue smiled once more. Even though he was gone, she could feel him. And she would cherish this album forever. But no, this wasn't just an album, this symbolizes the love she felt and shared with Andy. This was her love story.
End of one-shot.
