The city didn't need them anymore. The world had faced all it's foes and won. They could find people to love and grow old without ever fighting another battle.

Robin was pacing his room. His heart was racing, palms were sweaty and his breath wild. Why had he do it? Why had he been in such a hurry? He knew why but to admit it was admitting that the only thing he'd ever known was gone. Drawing a deep breath he calmed himself. He knew this was coming and with a leveler head he could see that he really did love her. That's why he'd bought the ring in the shop window. The emerald matched her amazing eyes.

Walking out of his room his feet just seemed to carry him to her door. He knocked.

"Robin?"

" Hey Star can I come in?"

" Of coarse. Is something wrong?"

" No."

" Then what is it? I can tell something is bothering you."

" Nothings bothering me. I was just wondering if you would join me on the roof tonight for dinner."

" Sounds perfect."

" Ok" he said leaving. ' Geez acting like she must think I want to break up with her of something' he thought.

A couple hours later

The roof was covered in lights. The table was set in the alcove to the left. Two candles decorated the table. There was a stereo playing slow and 'romantic' music. Robin was dressed in a pair of black slacks and a white dress shirt. It wasn't ling till Starfire was opening the door. She gasped. " Oh Robin it's beautiful."

" Dance with me?"

" Yes" as the started dancing robin laughed. " whats funny?"

" I was just thinking the first time we danced was when kitty got me to go with her to prom."

"That's was an interesting night wasn't it.

" It was amazing because I got to spend it with you."

Star smiled, " really?''

" Always." he bent down onto one knee, " Star I love you, will you marry me?"

She put up her hands up to her face, " Really?"

" Everyday I'm with you I feel stronger, I feel so much love and I want o be with you for the rest of my life."

" Yes"
