This idea just wouldn't leave me! Though it is highly unrealistic.

Reid couldnt' stop staring at the women in front of him in his apartment.

"Katherine," he said quietly. She was his first. His first gilfriend, his first love, the first person he slept with. It was when he was in college. They were both 19 when they met. He had been in college, though, since he was 13 and ready to get his 4th degree. They had dated for 4 years before breaking up. He hadn't seen her since. And now here she was, knocking at his door, looking just like she had looked all those years ago. The old feelings in him came rushing back in.

He tried to contain it. This was the person who broke his heart, even though she had tried to protect it.

"Why...are you here?" He finally asked. He was stunned to see Katherine crying as she sat down.

"You..." she swallowed. "You remember the day that I misscarried?"

A pained look went into Reid's eyes.

"How could I not?" He whispered. "That was one of the worst days of my life." She nodded, looking miserable.

"What...What if I told you I lied?"

He looked confused.

"What?"

"I lied, Spencer," she whispered. "I didn't miscarry."

He froze in his spot as he tried to remember to breathe.

"What?" He lowered his voice to a whisper.

"I didn't miscarry,"she repeated. "I...gave birth, to a boy."

Reid was struggling to remain calm and collected.

"Why...why would you lie about something like that?" Anger teetered dangerously in his tone.

"You were getting offered a position at the BAU! You were going to become an FBI agent..." Kathereine paused, her voice shaking.

"We could have still...had a family..."

She shook her head.

"That line of work is too dangerous for a family, you know that Reid. You'll always have to put the case before us...Not only that I didn't want you to chose. The world deserved to know the brilliance that is YOU. I didn't have the right to keep you all to myself. You had already sacrificed so much to stay near your mother. By taking care of her as much as you did I couldn't...I didn't want you to make another sacrifice. You had a chance to get out. I didn't. I wanted you to have that chance. A chance to be somebody."

"BE somebody? What in the right mind did you think I wanted to get out?" Reid shouted.

"I saw how scared you were," she whispered. "I...didn't want to trap you into marriage. Into doing things because you had to do. You...you weren't ready, Spencer. Hell I wasn't ready! We were both too young."

"You had NO right!" Reid stood up, anger seething out of his body. "NO right at all!"

She flinched as his tone but didn't fight back.

"You have every right to be angry," she whispered. "To be furious."

Hot angry tears shed in Reid's eyes.

"ALL this time I had a son I never knew about?"

She was crying too hard to talk so she just nodded.

"He's what...4 years old now?"

Another nod. Hell even older than Hotch's son who was only 3. This was so much to process. He could barely breathe, let alone think clearly.

He swallowed.

"Why...why now? Why the HELL would you tell me this now? If you were so fine with keeping it from me before?" He was beyond angry. he was livid. He couldn't believe she would keep something like this. Something that broke his heart. Something that tore him up when he was younger. And still did tear him up. She looked up at him a tear stained face.

"Because," she whispered. "He's been kidnapped."
