Howl
'My fingers claw your skin, try to tempt my way in. You are the moon that makes the night for which I have to howl.'

Edward had thought himself a monster when he met Bella.

That had been nothing now that he looks upon that moment so many years ago. Dozens, as it seems.

It was nothing compared to this, this boy standing in front of him, unbinding every safeguard against the bloodthirsty beast that resided so close to the surface, within Edward's very skin. And it scratched at the exterior, trying it's damnedest to escape, to taste the boy…

Jacob.

His eyes were just as hungry, the wolf there too…just beneath the façade.

The fact that he understood such need only made the yearning that much more potent. And the thoughts that poured from his mind was enough to drive the vampire mad with lust. Choking at his very throat with pure fire, his cold skin crawling with the sudden heat as burning lips possessed his own.

The world spun, the only scent was the wolf clawing at his back- all fresh earth and rainwater. Foliage and flowers, all muddy from the storm. That was exactly what he smelled of, those precious moments after the first rain…clear and yet so filled with the history of trees as old as time itself.

And it was only these moments that he thought such absurdities, when the beast within himself couldn't contain its need, releasing such emotions only into the boy, only in the nights that permitted such frivolity because damn it all if he were caught. None such could happen, and so he restricted himself to only these moments, so few and far between these days that it almost ate at him as much as the monster.

But he would make sure it was worth it, for Jacob and for himself.

There was only so much time to be had in such a disastrous affair. And so clothes were discarded easily, Edward's cooling hands pressed against Jacob's heated skin. Hips reaching hips as they seek out friction against each other, both breathing heavy against the other.

Lips and teeth and tongues were at battle, neither knowing where they began and the other ended. It was such a mess…such a beautiful poetic mess when one become the other and both moaned together, voices caressing the night as they entangled.

And when he came, howling the boys name into the very night in which they lived, it was the only moment the beast was free. Like blood pumping through his ancient veins, pooling in his cheeks and pumping to the center of his body like liquid fire.

Like Jacob.

And the beast would be happy…the monster within him sated.

For now.

Only for now.

Author's Note: I really love this song, Howl by Florence and the Machine. They are my new favorite band of the moment. I heart them very much. And I always like some Edward and Jacob love...even if the former is really starting to get on my nerves...anyways, reviews are love. LOVE I TELL YOU. -Delta
