A/N: My take on Yusuf meeting Sofia. I've read better versions, but I had to give it a shot. Also, I was on vacation and needed a rest after biking around the markets, so I took the oppurtunity to write it.

Disclaimer: I don't own Assassin's Creed.

There was a very strange man standing on her doorstep.

He fidgeted, clearly uncomfortable, and readjusted his headband. "Ah, you are Sofia Sartor, yes?" He looked hopeful, for obvious reasons.

"Why do you ask?" She responded, leaving the door mostly shut.

"Ezio Auditore sent me. Do let me in so I can explain, please?" This man was like some sort of puppy, she was sure. His charismatic nature took over as his stance became more comfortable, and he was especially happy that she spoke Turkish.

"Ezio? Why doesn't he come himself?" Anything she could get out of him there, the better.

He hesitated, considering his options, "That's what I need to explain," he looked around, "after we're inside."

"At least tell me your name first." She said, crossing her arms.

"Yusuf Tazim… da Istanbul, by your customs." He said with a broad smile. "Ezio told me about that, with the names and all. Italian can be quite confusing, you know. Especially when—"

"Oh just come in, Signore Tazim."

"Ooh, now how does that name work?"

They disappeared into the little shop, one exasperated and the other entirely entertained. And that's how things would stay for a while.

Yes, yes. Yusuf's character is a little off. I just loved the idea of giving him about as many names as his beloved city. I assume Sofia spoke Turkish; correct me if I'm wrong. This also assumes he met her at all, which I assume he did at some point. It makes sense to me, at least.
