Eren woke up with a gasp, tears slipping down his cheek. The fifteen year old trembled. He buried his head in his hand, trying not to breakdown.

He just went through the nightmares that always haunt him; his mom's death, his memories of eating his father, and the memories of all his fallen comrades. But this time, his mind decided to traumatize him more and have the only people he has left; his friends and family die in front of his eyes. Sasha, Jean, Connie, Historia, Armin…

Mikasa.

He was about to get up, when there was a knock on his door. It was the middle of the night! Who could be at his door?

That's when a soft, shaky, vulnerable, almost broken sounding voice called out, "Eren?"

Eren knew who was there now.

"…Mikasa? Come in."

The black haired girl walked in. She was trembling just as much as Eren, her eyes filled with unshed tears, and she looked as vulnerable and broken as she sounded.

"…Did you have a nightmare too?" Mikasa asked innocently. Eren nodded sadly, opening his arms. Mikasa fell into his arms without hesitation.

She looked up at Eren, asking as the tears slipped down her face, "The usual one?"

"This time it wasn't just them…it was Sasha, Historia…Connie…Jean…Armin….you. What about you?"

"Mom…Dad…and you too…" Mikasa said, brushing away the tears that slipped down Eren's face, and smiled at him sadly. The two embraced each other tightly, crying, trying to help one another, but failing as they just cried harder.

Mikasa pulled back ever so slightly, looked into Eren's sorrow filled eyes, and began stroking his cheeks with her thumbs, doing her best to comfort him best as she possibly could, and whispered, "It'll be alright…for both of us."

Eren nodded, rubbing her back gently and pulling her into his chest. Her ear ended up right where his heart was, and she listened to it's soft beat, which lulled her to sleep.

Eren brushed the hair out of her face, whispering to her sleeping form, "Nothing's going to happen to us. If I could, I'd hold you again…again and again forever."
