I originally had this poem for Gohan and Videl from dbz but then i thought it fitted better as a poem from
Kagome to Inu Yasha (or vise versa depending on your opinion of their relationship...) while they are one of their long walks to the next demon

So far away...

Though we're only a foot apart
It tears at my lonely heart

That you won't turn to say hello to me
And how are you this fine evening

Don't you feel my lingering stare?
Or hear my whispers in your ear

I say so very low that I love you
Brave enough to admit its true

But too afraid to admit it to you
What have I gotten myself into?

This isn't just a regular crush
When I see you I don't just get a rush

Every emotion I have to give
Every day I have to relive

When I lay my eyes on you
This is what I'm going through

I'm afraid of rejection

And angry at my fears

Sad from being lonely

It brings me close to tears

Happy because of you

You bring me so much joy

How I wish to hate you

My heart will be destroyed

I am so frustrated

I only want a kiss

And I'll be elated

It's the same every day

I'm so close to you

But you're so far away
