Kate sat among the pink flowers on the island, crying in fear as the three around her slept, unable to remember who she or the others were, or anything about their situation, nothing except her own name and the very fact that she remembered nothing of herself.

Sometime after they had woken and calmed down a bit, they discovered cards in their pockets containing names and contact information addressed to their full names. Scared of the mysterious information, but more frightened still by the unknown, they decide to leave the flower-covered island and find the people listed, in the hope that someone could help them. On the way off, they discovered the bags they had left behind before their final moments.

Kate, ever the brave one, attempted hers first, using a payphone when they reached the mainland. After ringing once, a person picked up.

"Hello, Kate?"

"Yes, I'm Kate. Can…can you…help me…us?"

"Of course I will help you! Where have you been? Where are you?"

"I'm sorry….I … I don't know where I am or where I've been….."

"Okay, fine, I'll ask again later. I'm coming to get you, so stay where you are. Can you describe it to me?"

After detailing the landmarks around them, she hung up. When Emma arrived, she found them in the middle of debating whether or not they should call another person from their cards and who should do it.

Unsuspecting, she rushed over and grabbed Kate in a hug, crying about how worried she'd been when Kate vanished, only to met with a blank stare and the question, "who are you?"

After recovering from the initial shock, she learns of their amnesia, agreeing to help the others with contacting their friends and family.
