ONESHOT
He stood at least a meter and a half away from the headstone.
Let's all give a big hand for big brother right here.
Ever with his trusty umbrella.
God.
It hadn't even rained for a while now.
Big brother is watching
It seems the weather had decided to go with his present conditions.
But trust this London to rain.
Mycroft is deciding. Speak up, Mycroft.
Soon it will. And Mycroft's shame will pour.
"He can't hear me."
Hmm, maybe, but you have to admit it too.
"It was of national importance," He said, eyes held with strong gaze on the dark headstone.
Oooh, national importance, is it? So is little brother of little or no value?
He leaned his weight on his umbrella and held his head high,"Sherlock, you should understand, there are many whose needs outweighed yours."
Oh, but did you not see? He solved the mysteries, he hit them all right in the eye. From a bunny to one great game. He even done justice a favor bringing the cold cases alight.
His lips were taut and hands firm on the handle, "If you can hear me, my sincerest and deepest apologies."
BULLSHIT! This is your brother. Not the Queen, not the Prime Minister, or not some other reputable official. Forget the formality and superficial words. Forget your position. Forget it all.
The words that wasn't spoken were louder than ever. It's amazing at this point he wasn't eaten up.
Well?
Mycroft swallowed. He looked up and saw the skies drawing in and getting dark.
A shame this isn't televised for the world to see. Big brother who oversaw everything even young Sherlock's death. His six feet underground now. Why do you still hide, Mycroft?
His lips quivered and his brows knitted together.
"Sherlock," He breathed deeply, "If you could hear me, though I do doubt that you would want to,"
Ah, yes, go on.
"I... am.." What was it that made it so hard to say a heartfelt sorry? Had guilt overridden his self? But he was only starting to feel.
Mycroft started to feel faint, but he stood still as his umbrella dug deep.
As quick and sincere did he utter the words of finality, the skies cried out what had long been expected.
Big brother has been evicted.
