So I am finally back on fan fiction. And it feels great!
This is my first Harry Potter fiction. So I am excited! This is AU meaning that James Potter did survive. That I have turned Harry into a girl. etc. etc.
Please keep a open mind. I am in love with the original story that J.K Rowling gave us. However, I wanted to give it a spin.
Please review, I am nervous since this is my first Harry Potter fiction. I will be doing song-bits for this story again. You don't know what that is, check that out in my profile.
The Song-bit is "Let it burn"-Red. Excellent song. Fits the mood of the chapter.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Nor do I own the song 'Let it Burn' by Red.
Enjoy and review!
Chapter One: Are you Afraid?
How long can you stand the pain
How long will you hide your face
How long will you be afraid
Are you afraid
How long will you play this game
Will you fight or will you walk away
How long will you let it burn
Red
It was Halloween Night, October 31, 1981. All was quiet and calm in Godric's Hallow, in some parts of the town, there were young kids dressed up as ghost and ghouls, trick-or-treating, eagerly receiving candy.
Meanwhile something was not quite right in Godric's Hallow.
Black smoke was circling the air above one house. The house was smoldering, walls were scorched, and furniture were turned over and burned as well. Windows were blown out, and glass was everywhere. Pictures that were sitting nicely on the fireplace mantle were strewed around the room. The frames that had pictures of people laughing and smiling seemed duller, since the frames were shattered.
The railing on the stairs were shattered and burned. Up the stairs, the door on the far left was blown off its hinges. Scorched and laying discarded against the wall.
Once in the room, there is a woman lying lifeless on the ground. Her once shining red hair, now lifeless and dull. Like a once shining bright flame that would dance in the night, snuffed, only leaving an ember. Her eyes were glazed over, staring straight up to the ceiling. Her once, vibrant green eyes; eyes that were always bright and full of emotions, were now dull and dark. The spark that was once in them was snuffed out. She laid there her arms outstretched by her side. Obvious that she was trying to protect someone, going so far into dying for that person.
Past the young woman, was the rest of the room that she seemed to be guarding. The rest of the room looked much like the rest of the house, charred and smoldering. However there was something different with this room. Further behind the young woman, there stood a crib, which looked liked, it was barely standing, because it was burned.
But there was something within the crib.
Inside the crib, was a young baby. Only just a year old. This little girl had big green eyes like the young woman that was in front of her. These big bold green eyes' were filling up with tears, and these silent tears were falling down. She had long messy black hair, and she was sniffling and whimpering loudly. On her forehead was something different. Something that would change this little girl's life forever.
On her previous unscathed forehead, now held a bright red inflamed lightening bolt scar.
Unknown to the others in the neighborhood, to the unsuspecting neighbors that couldn't see this house smoldering in the night. One little girl would soon be uphold as a hero to a world that had seen so much darkness.
I watch the city burn
These dreams like ashes float away
Your voice I never heard
Only silence
