SPOILERS FOR: Long Shadows and Sunrise

So this is what I thought how Hollyleaf killed Ashfur. Long live Holly, she was one of my favorite characters, so no insulting Holly. This is also something for my lack of updates in a while.

Hollyleaf sat alone near the edge of the camp. She had no idea what to do. Ashfur was going to reveal that Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf were not the kits of Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. What would happen next? Would they be kicked out of the Clan for good? Hollyleaf clawed the ground in despair.

A rustling noise sounded in the bush behind her. She turned and spotted Ashfur heading away from the camp. She narrowed her eyes and followed behind him quietly.

Ashfur stopped near the WindClan Territory river. He stared into the rippling waves, watching his own reflection. Hollyleaf shrunk down and began to walk up behind him. She stepped on a small twig, making a small noise.

Ashfur looked back in shock. Hollyleaf sprang at him. He dodged, making her only claw his shoulder. "Hollyleaf," he spat. "I should have known you were going to do something stupid."

Rage filled Hollyleaf from nose to tail tip. She sprang at him, knocking him to the floor. He pushed her off with his hind legs, making her crash onto the nearest tree. She pushed back onto him and raked her claws over his cheek. He tried to claw out of her grasp, but he only managed to yank off fur from her shoulder.

Hollyleaf snarled and bit hard into his throat. He tried to snarl at her, but the only noise was the blood bubbling in his throat. "I'm sorry Ashfur," she said solemnly, looking down at Ashfur with a slight hint of sorrow in her eyes.

"I had to. I couldn't let you tell…"

Ashfur's throat gurgled more and his hateful eyes stared sightlessly at the sky.

Hollyleaf grabbed Ashfur by the scruff of the neck and threw him into the river. The blood replaced water with its sticky, red, liquid. She bent and washed her paws in the water. Hollyleaf pushed Ashfur off and watched as his unmoving body drifted down the shore.

Hollyleaf killed a Clanmate, something against the warrior code she believed. But she didn't feel any regret. No remorse. The only thing she could feel was the triumph. Victory…
