A shiver raced down her spine as bright blue eyes opened groggily, her head fuzzy as well as throbbing. Where was she? She whimpered softly as she pushed herself into a sitting position, her straight blonde hair falling around her like a pale gold waterfall.

"Ah, you're awake." A dark chuckle echoed through the mechanically crowded room, causing the little girl to jump, her eyes widening as she swallowed.

A leather clad hand, the color of a dark violet, reached out for her, causing her to shrink within her skin. A glisten of pearly white teeth caught the dim light that seemed to shine down on the little girl.

"I love your hair, so soft and long." The raspy voice sounded smug as the hand stroked the hair, wrapping a few strands around his finger. The girl cried out shrilly and pulled her head back, wincing as her hair ripped out of her scalp, the sound a dull pop.

He growled and back handed her sensitive cheek, red blossoming across the pale skin. The girl sniffled and glared defiantly at her assailant, lifting her quavering chin to look into the darkness, trying to catch a glimpse of his face.

The man started to move towards her when a ding dong sound echoed from the room to somewhere farther away.

The girl swallowed her fear as she looked to the shadow, who began to pace nervously. "I want to go home." She spoke up, sounding no braver than a timid mouse.

The shadow paused before turning to her fully, coming into the light.

"You can't."
