Will you be my Valentine?

Disclaimer: I do not own FF7 or Dirge of Cerberus. Or the day of valentine. I probably should be posting this near the time but…there's this contest that closing so, hear my plea.

AN: Mwahahahaha! No intro! Wait… Erm… Whoops… Please read… -.-
Vincent rested on the cerulean soil as water droplets drifted down a mound of weeds; twinkling shimmers looping the center of his personal area. Suspended in front of him, was a pale crystal, enfolded within a cluster of lavender tree roots. The core consisted of an elegant maiden, extended tan hair binding inside a vast number of sunny yellow strands of cloth; clothed in a dazzling wedding dress.

Vincent's crimson eyes gazed upwards at the young woman. A thousand memories engulfed him.

At one time, he dominated the opportunity to have her as his bride.

"…Lucrecia." Vincent muttered faintly as he raised his head from his tattered scarlet cloak.

He had cherished her, while she drew breath. It had been extensive since her heart ended it's final beat. But he would never completely remember that moment.

Yet…he vividly recalled that solitary day…the day he recognized that she treasured him in return.

"…ncent…" echoed a memorable voice.

-

"…Vincent…" whispered a feminine voice.

Vincent opened his ruby eyes. He lay on top of a minuscule grassy hill, in the midst of an inclining tree above him. He unfolded his arms from underneath his head, merely to realize the youthful woman kneeling beside him.

"Lucrecia Crescent!" Vincent gasped as he bolted upright to face the woman, not keeping his eyes off her while doing so.

The woman grinned kindly.

"Looks like you fell asleep here again!" Lucrecia smirked, her brown hair calmly flying in the breeze.

Vincent glanced at the soil, blushing slightly, "I'm sorry for causing any trouble to you, Dr.Crescent."

"No, it's okay!" Lucrecia giggled. "It's nice to get out of the laboratory once in a while."

"Ah, yes." Vincent smiled to some extent. "Please forgive me."

"Ah ah ah!" Lucrecia giggled, gesturing her index finger close to Vincent's face, as if enlightening him not to do that. "You shouldn't talk like that today!"

Vincent's expression seized a puzzled appearance, "Did I do something wrong?"

"Of course, silly!" Lucrecia scolded in a kind manner, laughing a bit while doing so. "Do you know what day it is?"

"If I may, I'd like to point out that it is not my date of birth." Vincent told Lucrecia, but he had a suspicion that she understood that.

"I know!" Lucrecia grinned. "But today is even more important!"

Vincent hesitated as he perceived that there was something scarlet hidden behind Lucrecia's back.

"Don't tell me you've forgotten!" Lucrecia smirked pleasantly.

Vincent sighed, "I give up. What day is it today?"

"Today is Valentine's day!" Lucrecia smiled, clasping a scarlet heart shaped box, Vincent had spotted earlier.

Vincent jumped back in surprise, for he wasn't expecting this, "Is this for me?"

"Of course it is! The rest of the Turks say that their job is too important for this and who would want to ask Hojo?" Lucrecia giggled.

Vincent grinned at this joke. Of course she was kidding…hopefully…

"So, Vincent." Lucrecia chuckled. "Will you be my Valentine?"

Vincent blushed a vivid scarlet and didn't say anything for a bit, except he didn't necessarily do so. They already knew his answer.

"You already know that I am." Vincent smiled gently.

AN: Hi! Yeah, um… I've had this idea for a while now, and I think it's rather cute. But my sister wouldn't write it for me. So, I had to try hard not to put much humour (my main writing skill) in here, and try my best to do romance (my worst skill, my sister's best). I hope it turned out okay, because I got warm fuzzies for this. If it sucks, please don't kill me…
