Off The Beaten Path
"Yukari-san... what is this?"
The brunette looked up from the books she had been looking at for the past hour or so - without even trying to make sense of it, despite being a senior now and it being high time for her to finally focus on her studies - at the blonde robot girl and then at what she was holding.
"..."
"Yukari-san?"
"I could have sworn I threw that away..." the archer bit her lip as another wave of nausea overwhelmed her senses. "It's... nothing... Aigis... don't worry about it." she turned back to her book, trying to concetrate despite the strange tiredness she had been feeling as the months since that ... incident ... went by. With her only source of information clearly not intent on answering her, Aigis decided to guess.
"I believe I heard Mitsuru-san talk about these... objects? ... with Fuuka-san a couple of weeks ago. Something with a 'test' of sorts and a 'pregnancy."
"Mitsuru-senpai is suspecting pregnancy?" Yukari was glad that the subject wasn't on her anymore. However, you could never know with the blonde so...
"I think so." the robot said. "Fuuka-san stated that she should wait a bit longer to be sure so, Yukari-san, when did you do this ... test?"
The brunette groaned and looked away, clutching at the headphones that were dangling around her neck... the ones that used to be his before the events that were just two months ago, but felt like they were a lifetime away...
"Maybe... I don't know..."
What she didn't expect was for the blonde to smile and say.
"Don't worry, Yukari-san. I know for certain that Minato-san would have loved this child and it will be my duty to protect it no matter the cost!"
"Aigis!" the archer was shocked as she felt the robot's arms wrapping around her in an awkward hug. For all tense and purposes of being 'human', she was still weird about things such as hugs, but Yukari could feel the emotions the other tried to convey with her hold.
"You are not alone." the Anti-Shadow weapon stated simply.
"T-Thank you..." hugging her back, the girl smiled as she pulled away after a couple of moments and poked Aigis' shoulder. Meeting the confused girl's blue eyes, she spoke up again.
"I was thinking of naming the child Makoto. It just feels right for some strange reason..."
