The sound of an ambulance could be heard blocks from where it was traveling. Just minutes before, they had got a call saying a boy had been shot. A boy about to be the age of 15.
In approximately three minutes the ambulance arrived at the scene and transported a young boy to the hospital.
A bullet womb in hard to fix, especially when it went right by the heart. Internal bleeding, punchier lungs were not easy to work with either. The doctors worked as hard as they could, trying giving the 14 year old boy more time to live.
News reports were all around about a boy, who had been shot outside a 'bank'. The person who had shot him, was no where to be found and no one saw him.
That's the beauty of Scorpia. They are sneaky, ruthless and killers. They kill without regret, and they kill often. There are many branches, and they are about impossible to stop. Yet one could.
And he was Alex Rider.
Alex Rider, the son of John Rider was the best agent the M16 has had for years. He was brilliant in martial arts, and always had the power to go undercover. And he was only 14.
The boy had been manipulated, scared and put in dangerous situation time after time. He had cheated death many times. He was always a strong one, always held on.
Alex lay on an operating table located in the ER. Time was running out and he was giving in to death.
Death didn't seem bad at this point to Alex. Scorpia would always be after him, if he lived that was. He would certainly be sent on missions, and there is always a chance of death with them.
If you were to look at the heart rate machine, you would see a line, slowly decreasing making a flat oneā¦almost. The looks in the doctors eyes was almost unbearable.
Just then, job meant a whole new meaning. Alex had given himself to every mission he was on. That was the line between, personal and business. Alex was always somewhere in the middle. He wanted to do his parents well, but also kept in his mind, that it was just a job.
Regrets will always be made. Why Alan Blunt and Tulip Jones sent him on a mission time after time, almost getting him killed was regret.
Two people waited anxiously in the waiting room.
The doctors stepped back as one said, "That is it, this is all we can do I'm afraid."
"Honey! Wait, you haven't taken your vitamin yet!" A woman in her mid 40's yelled out the door.
"Mom! Do I have to?" A little boy yelled from where he and his friends were on their bikes ready to go play baseball.
The woman pursed her lips, forming a straight line and looked at her son. "You know what will happen if you don't?"
The boy suddenly saddened and got off his bike.
"Now you may go." His mother said as he swallowed his last pill.
She watched her son go, and went back inside.
Okay, there is a start. Read and review! Kelsey
