AN: My first Phantom Hourglass 'story' woot.

As the summary states, this is a drabble. AKA: No more than 500 words. Yeah. .

I am thinking of starting a story directly related to PH and WW. Not going to give out any information right now though, if I decide to cancel the idea. Anyway…read and review!

Gotta love that title! And summary! XD

Disclaimer: When was the last time I did one of these? Whatever. I don't own LoZ. I do, however, own any ideas that I come up with. You knew that already though.

Phantomized Hourglass

The whole idea seemed really simple and easy. Defeat some more temples scattered across the Sea in order to save Tetra again from an unknown evil.

But, as I have discovered before, it is easier said than done.

After meeting an old man, 'borrowing' his sword, and finding a sailor in a big, blue building…both the sailor, oddly named Lineback, and I set off in his ship to brave the sea once again.

After awhile, I obtained a blue hourglass. The old man explained that this hourglass prevented the Temple of the Ocean King's phantoms from sucking out my soul. Goody.

So much that stupid hourglass did for me though. While I was sprinting from a charging phantom, the hourglass decided to get snagged by a rock jutting out of the right wall, successfully yanking it from the holster on my belt and sending it spiraling to the floor…where it smashed in a million pieces. My eyes had widened in horror as I continued to run, not wanting to know how exactly the phantom would suck out my spirit.

I continued to bolt towards the nearest safe spot, an area where I would turn invisible to the phantoms and where the sand in the hourglass didn't move.

With the sand currently lying on the floor of the misty floor, and the phantom huffing and turning around to patrol its area again, the safe spot only prevented me from getting slaughtered by one of those stupid annoying evil bastards.

I panted heavily and slumped up against the nearest wall, staring blankly at the spot where the hourglass lay, the sand slowly dissolving into nothingness.

For the first time since the Helmaroc King captured Aryll, I started to cry. It was over. My life was over. As soon as I would step out of the safe spot, the nearest phantom would scream, run towards me, and strike me down. I failed everybody. The old man, Celia, Tetra…

Hell, I think I even failed Lineback.

There was nothing left for me now. There was never anything. Grandma would never see her grandson's face. I would never see Aryll, my dear sister, grow up into a woman.

Celia started to zoom around my head and said words of encouragement to me in her squeaky voice, but it was too late for that. I would be stuck in this temple for eternity, lying on the ground like all of the other fallen heroes, waiting for somebody to come across me so I can share my knowledge and wisdom.

Hah. That's hilarious. The Triforce of Courage could always find somebody else to prey upon, somebody else to play its little game of temples.

And you know what? It wasn't going to be me anymore…

AN: …

Holy crap! Link's turned emo! XD

I think I'm pretty far in PH, and Holy Crap…I hate the damn Temple of the Ocean King!

The spelling might be bad, but I really don't care.
