Demyx's fingers danced along the edges of her skin like rain droplets. His breath ghosted across the lines of her neck like mist. He moved against her like waves crashing on the shore. Blue, blue, blue, like all the waters of the ocean. Naminé let him fill her white non-existence with his blue life. She needed him to.

I don't want this memory to be theirs.

A last-ditch attempt to keep control. To fight back. To refute them. Even before they come along with their paints of harsh yellow and death black, her white canvas would all ready be tainted blue. Ha. You didn't win this time. You may win in the end, but you didn't win this time. Winning the battle provided the illusion of winning the war, however temporarily, and Naminé took refuge in the idea. It kept her steady the way Demyx's hands on her hips held her up.

I want it to be mine.

Demyx's blue was different from Sora's. (Who was Sora? Naminé didn't know. He just kept appearing in her dreams, so she kept drawing him in her sketchbooks, and Xemnas told her his name was Sora.) Demyx's blue was deceivingly almost green, the way the sea looked green sometimes. (Naminé wasn't sure how she knew that, either. She'd never seen the sea before.) It flickered and danced, like the crests of waves under direct sunlight. At times it looked transparent, and then you could see down to the bottom -- and that was where the true blue was, dark and deep and fathomless. Sora's was a blue you looked up into, instead of down -- The sky as compared to the sea. Clear and consistent and endless, just a soft baby blue everywhere.

She had such a strange affection for the color blue. She trusted it without thinking, believed in it though she didn't believe in herself. It was why she felt drawn to Demyx: His aura was blue. Shimmering and inconsistent unlike the smooth and consistant blue she longed for, but she could get lost in it all the same. She wanted to take that color and drown her whiteness in it.

Will you share it with me?
