Double Trouble

It was just a normal day for Kendrix Grayson who was just coming home from a long days work. She was looking for a nice relaxing time at home with her two favorite men; and they were none other than her husband Carter and their four year old son Thomas "Tommy" Grayson. As Kendrix neared their quarters she heard a loud crash. Upon entering she found her husband and son entangled together next to them however was a broken vase. Kendrix who by now had her hands on her hips looking at the pair with an eyebrow raised. Both father and son pointed at each other at the exact same time and said "He did it!"

"Umm" was all Kendrix said because she wasn't convinced. Father and son both looked at each other for a brief moment because they both hated when Kendrix looked at them like that. It simply meant that they were in the doghouse with no way out. Shaking her head Kendrix knew that they wouldn't change anytime soon this caused her to sigh rather loudly Kendrix heard both father and son gulp as expecting the worst. "What did I tell the two of you about wrestling within the quarters?" Kendrix asked; all the while specifically looking at Carter feeling like he just got caught stealing the last cookie from the cookie jar said "You specifically told us not to do it." "Exactly" was Kendrix's reply; her attention was diverted to her son Thomas who whined "but mommy it's fun!"

Carter couldn't help but smirk at his son's comment. Carter thought to himself "Well at least my son is on my side or so he thought. Bending down Kendrix gathered Thomas into her arms and held him close. Kissing his forehead as she rocked Thomas gently Kendrix said "It may seem fun to you but I don't want anything to happen to you ok." "Meanie" Carter mumbled under his breath "Oh I am sorry could you repeat that I didn't quite catch that" Kendrix said casting a glance at Carter. "He said it" Carter said pointing to Thomas. Holding Thomas close once again Kendrix whispered into her son's ear "Now you wouldn't call mommy a meanie now would you Thomas?"

Now Thomas being the momma's boy that he was took one look at his father; before cuddling into his mother and said "No." Kendrix laughed at the express that came onto Carter's face it was absolutely add to Carter's expense Kendrix stuck her tongue out at Carter. She watched in glee as his whole body stiffened and his eyes became a little darker than usual; Kendrix knew in the back of her mind that Carter was going to make her pay for that at a later date but for now Kendrix will settle for this little Kendrix walked past her husband she whispered into Carter's ear "I win and you lose." All Carter could do as he looked at his now smirking son in his wife's arms and said "traitor."

That one word caused Kendrix to swiftly turn around and possessively holding her son to her chest. If looks could kill then Kendrix's who have already; and she'd use their son as leverage; and maybe even collateral damage. The next thing Carter knew he was on his hands and knees with the smallest dustpan and broom Kendrix could find; as punishment as he cleaned up the broken vase and to add insult to injury Kendrix also made Carter wear the girliest apron she could find. Carter was just glad that his new friends on Terra Venture or his old ranger teammates saw him like this because if they did he'd never hear the end of it and to think this was all over a vase Carter thought. Carter's thoughts were interrupted by a voice from the couch saying "You missed a spot." Carter just growled as he turned around and shot his wife Kendrix an angry glare. Kendrix couldn't help but smirk all the while being careful not to wake her son who had fallen asleep on her chest.
