Characters: Xing-lu, Seilan
Setting: Hausen House, roughly ten years before the current timeline
Warning: Vague spoilers for chapters 29 to 32; if you haven't read them, there's no chance of understanding the drabble, anyhow
Summary: Wherein Xing-lu slips, and must force his hands not to engage in fanciful behavior.
I'm that kind of fangirl, so I can think up a scenario like this. Our imaginations are just that..."strong." 8D
Actually, this is more of a serious, general piece, and despite the sexually-repressed-sounding summary, is definitely worksafe (though that might alternately be viewed as a downer). I think it provides good practice, after having gotten a burst of inspiration, for the plot thingies of 07-Ghost reproducing like rabbits in my head.
A BROTHER LIKE SO
Xing-lu nearly creates a doll of him, idly.
The high brows, he creates. The calm sculpture of his eyes, he creates. He is about to add the distinct scar on his arched forehead, before his hands freeze, and he is mortified, thoroughly.
Mortified at his actions. At his interest. At what would happen if his father came in. If he came in.
So he destroys what has taken painstaking hours to build in seconds, and does not regret it.
When Seilan announces his presence mere moments later, he finds the newest doll of Xing-lu's mother to look a little strange.
